Many small to medium size businesses rely on local or regional customers. This can be very helpful, as long as you don’t misrepresent yourself.
Don’t say you make genuine Vermont maple syrup, when you’re located in Florida. Or be like the Irish cheese I buy, that’s really made in New York. This can get people upset and cost you sales.
If you have a product or service that relies on a special local, promote that and it can increase your sales and put you ahead of your competition.
