This is the Devil’s Kitchen sinkhole in Sedona, Arizona. It’s the largest of the areas sinkholes, and the most visually impressive. The sinkhole was first described when a new collapse occurred in the early 1880’s. In 1989 more of the sinkhole collapsed, including the large rock in the photo, which is about 50 feet across (15 meters). You can easily hike to Devil’s kitchen, and several jeep tour companies take people there.
