Hi,
This dragonfly was in Flagstaff, Arizona near a sewage treatment plant. There’s lots of water due to the outflow from the plant, and lot of critters are there.
I tried to get some shots of dragonflies, with no luck, so I moved and photographed a rock covered with petroglyphs. As I was walking away from the rock, my wife called out and pointed to the dragonfly. I still had the camera on a tripod, but the path was too narrow to set it up. So, I held the camera in one hand, and angled the tripod in the other. Then I tilted the tripod’s head to get the camera level. I’m sure it was quite comical to watch. But I got the photo, and that’s what counts.
