This is Lizard Rock in Sedona, Arizona. Image # SWNTR0767. If you look at the middle of the picture, you’ll see a rock that’s shaped like a lizard’s head, in profile. Since I’m into Renaissance Faires, I call it Dragon’s Head Rock.
I’m not sure why, but if you hike around Sedona, you’ll see several rocks that have this same shape. Maybe that’s how the Sphinx in Egypt was initially formed.
