The sun had dropped behind the edge of the canyon just 1-2 seconds before I took this photo at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Arizona. There were some amazing sunsets while we were there. This shot was taken from a trail next to the Grand Canyon Lodge. I would take a few shots, grab my gear and run a little further down the trail, take a few shots, rinse and repeat.
If you keep shooting after the sun goes down, the colors are amazing. Just go for longer and longer exposures. You’ll see one of these long exposure sunset shots in a future post.
