The Stolen Photograph

Photographers often worry about having their images stolen and used without their knowledge and without compensation. The last I heard, about 90% of all images on websites are stolen. While there are copyright laws to protect photographs from theft, who has the money to hire a lawyer and go after all the infringers?

To see the ultimate in having your photograph stolen, watch this video about Noam Galai. You won’t believe what happened to him.

Have Fun,
Jeff

  1. Mother Jones stole one of my photos and I couldn’t get a lawyer that would go after them. Mother Jones cropped out my © notice and blamed it on an intern. The finally paid me $100.00 but it should have been much more but there wasn’t enough money involved to interest the attorneys I approached?
